On 4th May 2011, Paul sadly passed away after an eight-week struggle with pneumonia and acute respiratory distress syndrome. He fought very hard and the staff at Basingstoke Hospital ITU did everything possible to save him, for which we are very grateful. Paul was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and brother, generous to a fault. His great wit and dry humour stand out among many qualities which will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. This page has been set up to provide an opportunity for Paul's family, friends and colleagues to donate to a charity which is carrying out valuable research into conditions like those he suffered from during the last eight weeks of his life.
